CALIFORNIA STATE PARKS OUTFIT NEWEST MACHINE WITH WOOD CHIPPER SAFETY SHIELD

We spent some time up in Folsom, Calif. recently to install our Wood Chipper Safety Shield on a machine acquired by the California State Parks Gold Fields District.

The Eeger Beever™ 1821 Brush Chipper from Morbark is powerful enough to generate over 6,600 pounds per foot of pulling force. It has a hydraulic pressure system that can create 4,500 pounds of perpetual pressure.

There’s very little room for intervention or human error when operating a machine of this magnitude. It can be very intimidating even for the most seasoned chipper operator.

The parks director for the Gold Fields District told us once he heard Wood Chipper Safety Shield was available for the department’s newest wood chipper, he would not put the machine in service until the installation was complete.

Of course, the employees were very appreciative to have Wood Chipper Safety Shield installed for their benefit. Safety should always be first and foremost, and it only makes good sense to have a device like Wood Chipper Safety Shield on machine like Morbark’s.
